About the National Society of Human Genetics

The National Society for Human Genetics was established in 2005 by members of the Institute of Human Genetics and Genome Research at Egypt’s National Research Centre, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Samia Aly Temtamy.
The society has arranged numerous conferences and workshops, hosting many distinguished scientists in the field of human genetics.

The Mission of the National Society of Human Genetics is to advance the field of human genetics in Egypt through education, research, collaboration, and public awareness.
The Society is committed to supporting healthcare professionals, researchers, and students in improving the understanding, prevention, diagnosis, and management of genetic diseases, while promoting scientific excellence and ethical practice in genetics.

Encouraging and supporting research projects on genetic diseases, facilitating scientific collaboration, and promoting the publication and dissemination of research findings.
